Important General Information
- Most children with COVID-19 do not get very sick.
- Children who are sick with COVID-19 can have fever, cough or trouble breathing.
- If your child has a fever or cough, please call our office to make an appointment with us that will be done over your computer or telephone.
DO NOT come into the office. - If your child has trouble breathing, please take them right away to the Emergency Room at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle or Mary Bridge Hospital in Tacoma.
Changes to our Office Practice
Our office is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturdays from 9am to 12pm. We are also offering virtual visits online.
We have made the following changes to keep you and your children safe when they come into the office:
- We ARE available to continue caring for your child’s acute and chronic medical conditions.
Please call to make a virtual appointment for any medical problem. - We are now seeing well children of all ages for their checkups! We are taking special precautions to make sure there are no exposures in the office.
- It is especially important for babies and children under 2 years old to get their check-ups and shots.
- Due to the Coronavirus outbreak and the increased complexity of calls, our pediatricians are now doing virtual visits on weekends between 9 am - 6 pm. Please call our office and our after-hours nurse will connect you to the on call doctor. All patient-physician interactions, including phone calls and video chats, will be submitted to your insurance company.
We have made the following changes to keep you and your children safe when they come into the office:
- In-person sick appointments are ONLY in the morning from 9-12.
- Children who are sick with a fever or cough are NOT being seen in the office.
- Children who are sick with a fever or cough can make an appointment for a virtual visit over the phone or computer.
- If you have an appointment at the office, please stay in your car and call us to check in. DO NOT come into the office.
- All adults and children will be checked for a fever and cough before coming into the office.
- Only ONE adult can come to the appointment with your child. Please DO NOT bring your other children or family to the office.
- Exam rooms are separated into “sick” rooms and “well” rooms and are cleaned extensively after each visit.
- Our pediatricians and all staff are wearing masks and appropriate protective equipment will be used during your child’s exam.
- Please wear a mask, scarf or bandanna over your nose and mouth when you come to your appointment at the office. If your child is over 2 years old, please give them a mask or bandanna to wear as well.
